Perdido Street Station - The Ribs

One of six artworks commissioned by Night Shade Books for their edition of Perdido Street Station by China Miéville. Subterranean subsequently took over the publication of this book which includes, not only the six original paintings, but a new gatefold interior illustration and a new cover.

Some authors can be a bit precious about having their work illustrated, but China was extremely cool about the whole thing and happy to see different interpretations of his ideas.
