The Camp

My cover painting for Guy N. Smith's novel published by Sphere. I remember this cover gave me a lot of trouble. The book was about experiments with drugs and the obvious image to use would have been a hypodermic needle but that would have unpleasant overtones to my mind. I eventually came up with this image but I heard, through the grapevine, that the author was less than delighted.
