Personal piece. One of my early influences was a newspaper comic strip called Jeff Hawke (OK, so my parents read the Daily Express, I admit it...) It was exquisitely drawn by Sidney Jordan and I think this spaceship harks back to his work a little. Used on the cover of Best Short Novels 2004 published by the Science Fiction Book Club of Bookspan. Includes In Springdale Town by Robert Freeman Wexler, Jailwise by Lucius Shepard and Greetings by Terry Bisson. Also used on a Czech book cover published by Laser books.
